BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Heckman comes to Waterloo after serving as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at McMaster University. He holds specialist credentials from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. His research interests include the management of heart disease among older adults, including complications such as dementia. Thanks to contributions from the Waterloo-Wellington LHIN and Grand River Hospital, George will also be working with local providers and planners to enhance geriatric medicine in the region.
