Conestoga College

Veronique BoscartVeronique comes to the RIA and Conestoga College from her position as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, University Health Network, in Toronto. Prior to this, she was a researcher with iDAPT (Intelligent Design for Adaptation, Participation and Technology) at Toronto Rehab. She holds another position as an Assistant Clinical Professor with the School of Nursing at McMaster University.

She began her nursing education and practice career in Belgium and when she moved to Canada, she worked as a Personal Care Attendant and Practical Nurse while she awaited to qualify as a registered nurse. To this day she still finds time to work as Gerontological Nurse. Because of her experience, she knows first-hand the opportunities and need for inter-professional teams and the central importance of developing strong relationships with those we serve. Veronique completed her doctoral work at the University of Toronto on nurse-patient relationships under the supervision of Drs. Dorothy Pringle and Katherine McGilton. Additionally, her post-doctoral work has focused on ‘Knowledge to Action’ – which is a central theme at the RIA.
