Leadership Training for Registered Nursing Staff - Phase I
This training was developed as a joint initiative between the RIA, Conestoga College, Oakwood Retirement Communities and The Village of Winston Park to meet the need identified by many management teams in the long-term care sector to improve the leadership skills of the Registered nursing staff (RN/RPN) within their facilities. This is a two-day training program that focuses on aspects of leadership such as documentation (using the "DAR" method), conflict resolution, and team-building. Participants come away from the training with concrete goals and learning objectives, specific strategies to implement in their day-to-day work, and increased confidence to become strong leaders and role models for other members of their team.
