Winston-Oakwood Seniors Health Centres
RIA partners with Winston Park and Oakwood Retirement Communities to design and plan comprehensive interdisciplinary Health Centres specializing in seniors' care. Located within continuum of care settings, these health centres serve residents within the continuum of care as well as those in the surrounding community. The first of these health centres opened in the fall of 2009, at the Village of Taunton Mills in the town of Whitby Ontario. Seniors benefit from the holistic care delivered by interdisciplinary teams. A focus on wellness, prevention and chronic disease management helps seniors stay well and independent longer. Access to leading edge research findings and research expertise via the RIA ensures innovation in care models, careful evaluation and continuous quality improvement.
